A Brief Reflection on the Great American Eclipse from April 8, and Our Work Now
Grief is not the ending of what DIDN'T happen, but the beginning of a new possibility.
I didn’t mention Grief in my Blast last Monday.
I talked about grief, but I didn’t mention it directly.
Chiron is an essential part of this event because it’s exact to the degree and minute.
But if we’re going to dive into the nuance, Chiron is exactly at 19°24'19" Aries, and the new moon is exactly at 19°24'1" Aries. The new moon is exact “18 minutes” before the sun or moon conjoins with Chiron.
I imagine this like a collision — the new moon collides with Chiron — or, as if a person is wearing a sheet over their face. It’s hard to see through it.
It’s in Aries, just passed the lunar north node, implying that the new moon is rising above the ecliptic (the plane of the solar system). Archetypally, it’s like leaning into what’s unique and valuable about a person…
Especially because of everything else in the chart, but specifically, I want to highlight the opposition to the lunar south node, which is all by itself at 15°37’ Libra.
South node energy is broadly about Shedding what no longer serves you.
Without writing another thousand words, I simply want to emphasize that as the new moon eclipse grows to a full moon which will happen in the evening of April 23, 2024…
This eclipse reveals the shadow of unfulfilled dreams; and invites us to confront the grief of what can no longer exist.
What dreams do you cling to that don’t match the life you’re growing into? Have you had that you’re too old for now?
What realism are you resisting?
What could you grieve so that you can live more fully into the future that satisfies who you’re becoming?
Grieve your unfulfilled dreams. Move energy.
Grief is not the ending of what didn’t happen, but the beginning of a new possibility.
Proactively grieving will allow you to live into transcendent truths that are inviting us to move forward into our personal Gardens of Eden.
Warmly,
Joshua
